Import Consoles - International Shipping

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a good site to import a PS3. I'm from Brazil were the console will not be released by Sony and the import retailers here have the courage to charge about US$ 2.000,00 for a 80GB model!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I don't want to be ripped of I'm gonna import one through the internet as soon as MGS4 is been released, but I'm having problems to find a good site to do so, anyone had a suggestion?

I'm not sure about Brazil, but I typically buy import stuff from play-asia.com or toysnjoys.com. I tend to use he latter more because it is actually in the state I live in, so shipping isn't bad. Can't hurt to check it out, I figure. They say they ship to South America. No clue on the rates, though.

Thanks for the tips! I usually buy from Play-Asia, but the shipping fees for something as big as a PS3 are really expensive so I was try to find some alternatives. The Toynjoys that you suggested seems pretty good and I'm probably thinking about use it.
Had you ever bought anything from Gamestop.com? They had good fees too, but I don't know anyone who had bought anything from them to tell me if the service are good or not thou.

lol You know, even though I hate them, I buy ALL my domestic stuff from them. I didn't know they shipped outside the US.

My issues with Gamestop have more to do with in-store customer service, the way they treat their employees, and stuff like that. I worked there for a couple of years and we screwed customers a lot, in my opinion. Charging outrageous prices for used games and giving virtually nothing for them when they traded games in. Stuff like that. Buying online is probably safe, though.

What they lack in store they make up for online a lot of the time. Digital Devil Saga is only like $50 i think and normally it would cost you 80+ for it used. Whoever sets the prices on their website is pretty dumb.
