i will never trust ebgames again after they sold me 2 "new" games for the ds. One didn't work and the other was used and beatin already.
Circut city + gamers club = the best

I've had a similar experience with a PS2 game in the past.

I wish there was a better game only actual storefront but they have like a stranglehold on the market.

I have three friends that still work at Gamestop. That's the only reason why I still shop there. I only deal with these people when I shop. I refuse to talk to anyone else. I've had experiences where the manager threw away the pre-order bonus because he didn't check to see if anyone reserved it. (This happened recently for Pirates of the Burning Sea.) Fortunately, my friend that works where I reserved my game knew I reserved it and had stashed it away in a little spot where he puts my stuff. (He does this to ensure that no one sells stuff that I pre-order... This has happened before, too.) Out of all the people that reserved PotBS, I was the only one that got their bonus.

As for new games, I inspect it first. If it's not factory wrapped, I won't buy it. Period. They have to find one for me. I keep my games in mint condition and don't trade them in. I'm a collector. So if my games or cases are marred in ANY way, it had better be because I dropped it or something. Not because of idiots in the game store that throw things around and whatever.

I figure they put up with me because I give them LOTS of money and pre-orders. They're ranked on pre-orders and attach rates. I give them lots of both, so they deal with my OCD game-buying personality...lol

I remember when EB games had that commercial.
"Bring in your old games for cash!"
I brought in about 15 old ps2 games, they values them at around 5-10 cents each.

Same here, I prefer new games but sometimes I have to buy used to save $. It seems to me that most of the used game cases @ Gamestop/EB where I go are always in a worn state. I don't know about anyone else but I always keep my cases as nice as possible to prevent any wear and tear. I don't usually trade in but I did once on a 360 game but they only gave me $10 cash so I just sell online now.
