Default Wii Ware

So... Anyone pick up any Wii Ware? I'm still debating.

I didn't get anything yet.

Pop sounds stupid.
I can play Defend your castle for free on the internet.
Blackjack is just.... Blackjack. I can play that with real cards or on the internet.
TV Show King... well just the name sounds stupid. Okay the game itself... Well it's a quiz game. No interest from me.

LostWinds looks interesting though, but apparently it's really short. I might get it down the line(if it gets a price drop), but not for now. Currently watching a gameplay video, looks like a kinda (gasp) innovative little platformer. It doesn't seem mind-blowingly fun and it seems a bit repetitive, but it looks okay.

FF:CC.... Well, it's an FF game with no fighting whatsoever. It's basically a sim game where you rebuild your kingdom. There ARE dungeons with monsters, but you don't go in them yourself, you just send adventurers and they do all the dirty work. That kinda turns me off of it.
It's cool that there's DLC for the game. But, for now(might change later on), it's just content that's already in the game but that you have to pay to unlock.
I'll wait for reviews/for my friend to buy it and comment on it before getting it myself. It does seem not too bad, but yeah, i'm not too sure right now.

I think WiiWare is a great idea. Finally downloadable games that are made just for the Wii. And it might give chances to lesser known developpers to prove their worth, and big developpers can release some big name Wii exclusive titles for budget price and low-cost development. Sure, there's gonna be lots of shovelware, but a majority of "normal" wii games are shovelware anyways.

As a Final Fantasy fanatic, I feel like I should buy this game, but I hate sim games. And with the exception of a few puzzle games, I hate games that have no combat in them. I'm a violent person...lol.

One of my best friends has a little write-up on the FFCC Wii Ware game. After reading it, I'm definitely passing. And yeah, I know my FFOtaku cred just went down... /sigh

WiiWare and....... David Bowie?!
