Default Professor Layton & The Curious Village [DS]

I want to talk about how awesomely fun and addicting this game is, but I'm too busy playing it.

I've always been a fan of Level-5's games. The art-style is pleasant. It kind of reminds me of Miyazaki movies, which I love. The music is slightly eerie, but in a fairytale-book sort of way. It definitely adds to the mystery of St. Mystere...

The puzzles are definitely making me think. Fortunately, they don't punish you too badly for being a complete idiot. /cheer The game's use of the touch pad and stylus is good. Since hand-eye coordination has nothing to do with this game, I'm not frustrated with having to point and touch things. It's intuitive so it doesn't feel gimmicky.

If you like logic puzzles, this is definitely for you. Hopefully I don't stay up all night all the time like I did with Picross...

I wasn't really that into picross but i gotta say this game is more fun. Probably because it has a decent story line.

Awesome, I'm so glad they're making 2 more. Er I mean part 2 is out in Japan and 3 is in production. What does the story have to do with?

Professor Layton is called upon by Lady Dahlia to solve an inheritance mystery. Her husband recently passed away and said that a Golden Apple is hidden somewhere and whoever can retrieve it gets his entire estate. As far as I can tell, he owned the whole town and everything. Problem is that no one even knows what the Golden Apple is, let alone where to find it. So you solve puzzles to gain access to places, clues, and whatever else.
