Playstation Home

I'm still totally undecided about this whole Playstation Home thing. I think Sony's trying to one-up Microsoft or something. I'm a shy person in virtual space and I wonder if I'll actually interact with people in something like Home. It's really pretty, though, so I suppose I could just hang out with my RL friends there.

Meh, sooms like the Sims, not too interesting besides the gfx.
It would be cooler to have something like a MMO-GTA with Gangs and stuff, basically a modern WoW.

lol that would make it fun, that's for sure...

However, I think that Sony is trying to create something like XBox Live but with 3-dimensional avatars that actually represent the player instead of just a gamertag.

I don't see the appeal of this really. I really don't care to talk to people I don't know in real life, Unless it's a team game or something.

I'm pretty much the opposite of Hatsumi, I rarely post on the forums, but talk quite a bit in game. I find the reactions I get varied and humorous, especially when they find out that in addition to being a girl, I'm old. I've gotten everything from Azurayn's "Nightshade is a....girl? EEEEKKKKK!!!, I must draw the circle of anti-girl," to Rogue's "Easy on the profanities boys. We've a lady present."

For the most part they get over it pretty quick and Ive made some truly awesome friends.

Actually, this is the first time I've EVER participated this much in a forum. Maybe because I got in from the very beginning, so I didn't feel intimidated by a large community of existing members. Also, I've been trying to force myself to be more outgoing. I'm shy everywhere: real life, games, forums...lol.

I, too, have gotten some pretty amusing comments from people when they discover that I'm female. I get better ones about being a mom, I think. Especially since my teenager plays with me in games. People in party-chat will tell my son, "Whoa... That's ur mom??" Then say to me, "Will you adopt me?" It's cute. Sometimes they says stuff like, "You must be olllllllldddddddd..." lol

I'm on forums all the time everywhere cause I can from any computer, games on the other hand require alone time at home.
