Bomberman Land - Not really bomberman at all

If you were looking for a bomberman game to come out for the wii, Bomberman land wasnt it. What it IS is a collection of minigames set up with bomberman characters, something that seems to be a growing (bad) trend with games released for the wii. You could have called this Kirby Land Land and changed the character model, and noone would have noticed the difference.

As for the minigames, They're interesting to a degree, but in order to beat every one (each as five levels with different goals), you have to be near impossiblily consistant and accurate that its really not fun anymore. of the part I played and watched my roommate play, it's really not worth the time.

And oh how slow the text is. Slow and volumous. it's like reading a book, only less entertaining. sometimes it wont even let you skip it. That by itself is something that immediately works against an already flawed game.

Thats my rant. Thoughts? Although I wouldnt reccomend getting it just for thoughts, but yea.

The concept of Wii in general is cool, but I knew I'd never buy it cause the games just aren't good.

the ratio of crap to gold is just about the same as any other console in my opinion. In fact, since most of my friends are non gamers, I'd say that there are more things to do on the wii than any other console. All I was saying was that Bomberman Land was not one of those games.

From what I've seen so far it's basically a minigame machine.
That alone is pretty cool, but I don't think I could play through a whole game using a wiimote.

Well then you're forgetting some of the best games out for the wii: Zelda, Metroid Prime, Zack and Wiki, Elebits, Paper Mario, Mario Galaxy, even Excite Truck. All of those games use the wiimote in different ways, and each is very intuitive, more intuitive than many other console controllers.
