Default Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles [DS]

Quote:
While I was installing DMC4 on my PS3, I thought I'd try out Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles on the DS. I've come to two conclusions:

1. It's a nifty game. Not great, but not horrible. I was having fun slashing away at Templars and doing the little mini-games for pickpocketing and coercion. It's sort of side-scrolling, even though it's 3D. And it seems very linear. I only played for about 45 minutes. The simplicity and repetition reminds me of older side-scrolling games like Super Mario World or something. The graphics are nice. The music isn't particularly memorable. If you decide to play it, don't expect a miniature version of Assassin's Creed. The coercion mini-game amused me. It's exactly the same as Ouendan (Elite Beat Agents), but without the music to tap along to... At least I was good at that part.

2. I must be stupid. The reason why I stopped playing was because I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to move on. I had hints on, so there's a green arrow, pointing you in the direction you should go. Obviously, I was supposed to climb on something or jump somewhere, but I couldn't figure it out. I kept going around and around in circles. So I gave up. My son will probably play it and figure it out instantly. I can hear it now... "Duh, Mom... You're supposed to go over here and do THIS!" hahaha
Somehow the thread/post dates in the database are screwed so I accidentally deleted this

The only problem with this game is attacking people on top and below you. Since your range seems to be half of attacking compared to the back and in the front.

The mini games are fun and the torturing info out of somebody is pretty unique but pick pocketing can't get any easier. The game also looks pretty good on the ds. Also the controls are smooth but their isn't much use of the stylis besides mini games and putting away your sword.
