You can tell by the facial expression on the soldier on the second screen that they're trying to capture the look of the 40's Golden era style. The strong brow ridge with the nose is almost straight off of an Ayn Rand novel. That would be a great direction to take it, if you only took a serious tone with the rest of the animations and models. as it were now, it looks more like Crash Test Dummies meets world war I.
